Our analysis of the survey data identifies key points about public attitudes towards the high growth rate of the population and its relation with worldwide poverty that will inform how our society can strengthen commitment to decrease this sort of issues.
Questions
1) Do you think that the high growth rate of the population affects poverty?
Firstly, we asked people if they think that the high growth rate of the population affects poverty, principally.
As seen in Figure 1, almost everyone agreed with the question; the growth of the population clearly affects poverty. Just 4.3% of the people think that it not affects.
1.1) Why do you think it affects poverty?
For those who said yes, we asked for their opinion about why they think it affects poverty, fifteen people answered that if there is more people in the world, then we would need more resources and there are not enough resources for everyone, three people answered that «more people need more money», one answered that no one care of poor people, one answered «because of the demographic transition theory», and two people answered that because of the economy of a place».
Here we had different opinions because it’s an open question.
2) Select one factor you think most influences in global poverty
If you look at Figure 3, you will understand that the majority of people think that the factors that most influences in global poverty are unequal educational and also job opportunities with 25% of preference, followed by economical factors with 20% and income inequality with 12.5%.
3) In your opinion, which is the most recommended option from the following list to help eradicate poverty?
4) Do you think it is important to help poor people?
We needed to know about in which side they are; helping poor people or not.
Almost all the surveyors voted that in fact, it is important; 91.3% agree and 8.7% not.
4.1) Why do you think it is important to help poor people?
For people who said yes, we wanted to know why they believe helping poor people is important.
Seven people answered that they need/deserve more opportunities, two people answered that they might be going through a lot, five people said that we have to be good people, four people answered “equality”, one answered that all people deserve good living conditions, two said that we should help all living things on this planet to make a better world and one said that we need to impulse them to improve the economy of our country.
4.2) Why do you think it is not important to help poor people?
For people who said no, we wanted to know why they think it is not important to help poor people.
One answered that it was his money and one said that everybody needed to earn their own money.

As shown in Figure
5.1) How do you help?
It was important for us to know about this; the purpose of our survey was to know if they help poor people or not, and how they helped them.
Three said that by giving money them money, four answered that by giving them food, eight stated that by donating and one said that by volunteering.
